I am a professional songwriter, producer, recording artist and songwriting educator.
Currently, the focus of my career is my work as a songwriter for a range of projects in London, Nashville and Berlin. I have written and collaborated with an extensive network of artists, writers and producers.
I have also worked as a professional songwriting tutor and coach for the last five years. I am currently the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) in Songwriting at The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance in London. I lead on the design, delivery, management and development of the programme.
As an undergraduate, I studied Philosophy & Politics at University of Bristol. I have returned to philosophy in recent years as a tool to enable me to expand my approaches to creative work.
The idea of this blog is to pull together my study of ancient and contemporary philosophy, my work as a songwriter and my experiences of creative coaching to collate some of my thoughts on what I see as the strong connection between philosophical thinking and happy, healthy and productive creative practice.
